BRIGGS EQUIPMENT ACQUIRE SITE FOR IRISH HQ DEVELOPMENT

MCD Property, acting on behalf of Briggs Equipment Ireland, has recently completed the acquisition of a strategic land holding at Ratoath, Co. Meath.
The site, which will act as Briggs new HQ in Ireland, extends to a total area of approx. 3.2 ha (8.0 acres) and has recently been granted planning permission for a proposed 5,574 sq. m (60,000 sq. ft.) detached warehouse and industrial facility.
The lands are strategically located approx. 4.0 kms from the M2 Motorway and are an approx. 10 minutes’ drive time to the main orbital route around Dublin, the M50 Motorway at Junction 5.
The acquisition will accommodate Briggs Equipment’s continued expansion in the Irish market and which has seen them recently complete the purchase of Galway Plant & Tool Hire, Aerial Platform & Laois Hire amongst others. Briggs Equipment is part of Briggs International, the world’s largest distributor of Hyster and Yale materials handling equipment. The parent company Sammons Enterprises Inc. is one of the world’s largest privately owned companies operating in industries such as insurance, property and equipment distribution.
